Reread this after a decade and finally understood what everyone meant about the ending. Sneaks up on you.

Divisive for a reason - either his voice grates on you or it's the most honest teenage narration you've read. I'm in the second camp.

Holden is exhausting on purpose and I respect the commitment, but this one is a hard reread for me.
