The Name of the Wind hit every note I wanted from a fantasy book, and then some.

Wanted to love this more than I did. Patrick Rothfuss's ideas are there; the execution is uneven.

Rare miss for me in the fantasy genre. Just didn't land.

This might be my favorite fantasy read all year. The Name of the Wind earns every bit of its hype.

Mixed feelings on The Name of the Wind - strong start, but it lost me somewhere in the middle.
